The other evening while in Sephora… I forgot to mention that I met a very wonderful woman. Her name was “Rey” and she is a Beauty Educator for Sephora. I was standing near the Make Up For Ever display trying to decide if I was going to purchase the MUFE HD Foundation. She came by to assist me and actually introduced me to LANCOME’s Teint Idole Liquid Foundation in Suede 2. I had never in my life used Lancome foundations… it’s a higher end or as she said and “Prestige” brand. I wasn’t impressed until she asked to match me and do my entire face. Honestly, after she told me she was a Beauty Educator I just wanted to sit there and ask her what her job entails… she did tell me that she travels all over to different Sephora locations and educates people on products, especially Lancome. Dream Job? Heck..Yeah!
The color match was great and prior to the consultation I didn’t even know Lancome carried shades dark enough for women of color. Boy, was my foot in my mouth! This stuff was amazing and it didn’t even feel like I had anything on. Another great thing that I liked about it was that it dried to a soft matte, natural finish and when I touched my face it didn’t feel consumed with product. It’s a 14-hour long wear foundation, that’s oil and fragrance-free. Awesome right?! She also informed me that it contained SPF15, which protects against those harmful UV rays and it also a buildable formula if I desired to have a fuller coverage. “Rey” was kind enough to provide me with a sample of the product… So I will try to s t r e t c h this sample as long as I can before I decide to my invest $42. I use a variety of different brands from lower end to more expensive brands. I use what works best for me and my clients, the price tag is never really an issue and I’m willing to try anything once or twice especially if it’s good. I can feel myself branching out and purchasing more prestige products.
