Review: Lancome Teint Idole Ultra

I have officially switched to a new foundation, thanks to Rey, the Beauty Educator over at Sephora. The foundation I am speaking of is Lancome Teint Idole Ultra in Suede 2, hallelujah! I typically wear Revlon ColorStay Oily/Combination in 400 Caramel and I wear NC45 in MAC. I have oily/combination skin and this foundation is a jewel for my skin type. Before we begin… let’s discuss the packaging. It comes in a glass vial bottle with a pump. I really like foundations that come with the pump because its a lot sanitary by keeping all the bacteria out of the bottle. What I don’t like is the fact that the bottle is glass and I am a bit clumsy so I would hate for this to hit the floor and break. This is a higher-end or prestige foundation and it retails at about $42 at Sephora. In my opinion, after several days of use… I love this product. It’ not too thick and not too runny like some other foundations tend to be. The smell of the product is pleasant which is a good thing. This foundation is a medium to full coverage, it’s definitely buildable and leaves my face looking absolutely flawless. All you need is 1 full pump of the foundation for a natural matte finish, it doesn’t even feel like I have anything on. It is absolutely the most luxurious foundation I have ever used. It’s 14-hour wear, mattifying, non-comodogenic, full coverage and perfect for those with sensitive skin. It is excellent for people with “problem skin” or marks caused by sun damage, scarring, etc. because it covers absolutely everything.

To apply this foundation I used my Real Techniques Stippling Brush that I purchased from Ulta. I found that using the Buffing Brush from Real Techniques is better because it really works and blends the foundation in for a flawless application. I set it with my Ben Nye Neutral Set Invisible Powder. *loving it*

It’s a bit pricey for some but it’s a definite investment for those who want to put their best face forward. *
*Wink* I would recommend you at least giving it a try and getting a few samples from you nearest Lancome and Sephora locations. The samples will really take you a long way as well.

Thanks for tuning in, see you on the next post!
