Hey there lovely ladies! Today I decided to compile a list of my all-time favorite drugstore beauty essentials. These are products that if I ran out I would go back to purchase again and again. I enjoy fab finds at the drugstores. I believe you can look fab for less and everyone doesn’t want to spend $23.50 on an eyeliner all the time. I splurge sometimes but other times I prefer to stock and save. Are you ready for the list? Here goes.
Lets start with the eyes:
Black Radiance Water Proof Liquid Eyeliner | I will forever be loyal to liquid eyeliners because they do not budge. I particularly like this liner because the tip is kinda firm and it allows me to make a precise sharp line on my lids and it’s also super black, just the way I like it.
L’Oreal’s Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara | This is HG mascara. This is a fave of mine simply because it is a super dark formula and after about two coats… it looks like I am wears falsies. I does an awesome job at making my lashes appear to be thicker and voluminous.
As far as foundations go, there are only two that frequent my skin and those two are:
Revlon ColorStay *Combination/Oily* | This foundation is
often most times compared to MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid and for good reasons. I love this stuff. It gives a medium to full coverage, it’s blendable and it’s great for those who have oily skin. *Just make sure you pick up the right bottle* It has a natural semi-matte finish.
Next in line is:
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse | After a friend of mine recommended I try this, I was hooked. It’s has a mousse like consistency and it’s pretty good with my combination/oily skin. It blends and photographs well. I have been wearing this everyday to work.
It’s Prime Time and my go-to skin prep primer products are:
L’Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base | I heart this base/primer. Its so smooth and soft and it spreads and blends like butter. It fills in fine lines/ wrinkles and large pores and provides a protective barrier over wherever you place it and it just makes your makeup look amazing afterwards. It also does me justice at diminishing those under eye creasing before I apply concealer.
Monistat’s Chafing Relief Powder Gel | Shut yo mouf! Many people think that just because this can be applied to the lower and inner regions that it shouldn’t be applied to your face. Wrong! This PRIMER can be put on your face right before you apply your foundation, as a filler for fine lines (under eye) and it also helps your makeup to appear flawless. This anti-chafing powder gel magic potion goodness’ (okay, I added that!) main ingredient is the same as many
higher-end foundation primers’: dimethicone. It also contains Vitamin E and aloe, and it’s fragrance-free and formulated to let skin “breathe”. Compare prices of this and other primers and come back and tell me about it later. : )
Phillips Milk of Magnesia | I use the original formula with a foundation brush and I spread a thin layer of this all over my face and I allow it to dry before I apply any foundation. This stuff puts a freeze on any oil that thinks of seeping its way through. The ingredient magnesium hydroxide is what absorbs the oily before it decides to make a grand entrance on your skin. I totally love this stuff.
These are a few of my faves. I buy these products often because of the price and quality of what they do. What’s your fave drugstore products?
