It ranges from about $4 or 5 depending on where you look. It’s a staple in my lineup of skin-care products and my go to whenever I’m doing facials. I was out of the masque so I picked up a new one from Family Dollar. They’ve changed their packaging. So be on the look out for their “new look” of their masque.
Okay, so let’s talk about the scrub first since I use it before I apply the mask. The scrub is great for exfoliating and renewing you skin. It buffs away old dead skin cells from the surface of your skin and reveals a fresh face with newer skin. The scrub doesn’t irritate my skin and it’s made from all-natural walnut shells. If you have a nut allergy or have skin that its sensitive to abrasive scrubs then I wouldn’t recommend you use this. You can really feel the granules on your skin so use a light hand when massaging it into your face. It does great at removing those stubborn blackheads from your skin and shrinking large pores. It goes on super smooth, it has a minty scent and leaves your skin feeling tingly, yet clean and soft, This scrub gets 5 stars from me!
Okay so on to the masque (mask)! This masque is awesome if you have oily/combination skin like myself. I’ve heard its pretty good on acne-prone skin as well. I use this after I’ve exfoliated my skin with the Mint Julep Natural Scrub. It does great with drawing out the impurities in your skin. It’s slightly drying which is okay with me because of the natural oils in my skin. If you have normal to dry skin you may want to follow-up with a light hydrating moisturizer. It’s a thick, light green clay-based mask, it’s minty and gives you that same tingly feel after it’s rinsed off but it leaves your face so fresh. A little goes a long way o be sure to spread it out over your skin. If you let it dry to the touch, you will need warm water and a facial sponge or cloth to remove the mask from your skin. This masque is a big plus for me when I am going through my hormonal crazies and my skin needs TLC. It does contain sulfur, clay and spearmint oil. The sulfur and clay makes this masque beneficial to those of us with oily or acne-prone skin types because it deep cleans and removes blackheads and excess oils. The spearmint oil gives it that minty smell and tingly feel. At the price point of $4-5 it’s a pretty dope facial masque.
