I remember the days of old when Sleek Makeup was strictly a UK brand. Sleek Makeup is considered a drugstore brand in the United Kingdom, basically its the equivalent to Wet & Wild or NYX Cosmetics, here in the States. I remember UK Beauty Bloggers on YouTube doing reviews and demos on Sleek’s makeup. I would sit at my laptop gushing over how beautiful their faces turned out, wondering how I could get my hands on a palette, without having to fly over to London. Well Sleek now ships worldwide, as of…. I’m not sure but I’m sure glad they do because I plan to build my Sleek Makeup collection this year one palette at a time. Their makeup is super affordable and their eyeshadow is a winner in my book as far as being highly pigmented and long-lasting.This is my first eyeshadow palette from Sleek and I absolutely love love love it! This palette is called the “Sunset” palette for obvious reasons because it contains beautiful hues of red, orange, and yellow-gold. This palette retails on Sleek’s website for $12.00 and it’s every bit worth it! *There are a few reputable sellers that you can get this palette from for a few bucks cheaper if you are a Diva on a dime.*The packaging is nice. It comes with a large enough full palette mirror and of course that eyeshadow sponge thingy that I always end up throwing away.
I’ve swatched Horizon, Afterglow, Sunrise & Skyline for your viewing pleasure! Do you see that pigmentation!
According to Sleek: “Sleek MakeUP’s legendary i-Divine eyeshadow palettes are 12 shades of super-pigmented, longlasting, mineral based eyeshadow, designed to suit all. Each i-Divine eyeshadow palette contains pearlescent shades, which contain mica particles that highlight and illuminate giving an overall radiant effect.Available in a variety of colour ways, your i-Divine is waiting for you.
Sunset shades represent the sun, sea and sand. With a blend of shimmering golds, reds and blues, this palette is perfect for that sun-kissed look.”
For this look I used: Makeup Forever HD Foundation in 177 and set with IMAN’s Oil Blotting Powder in ‘Medium’, L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in ‘Warm Honey‘, under eye highlight setting with Ben Nye’s Setting Powder in ‘Banana’ & ‘Topaz‘, Sleek Makeup’s ‘Sunset’ palette, colors: ‘Sunrise’, ‘Afterglow’, and ‘Horizon’ on the lid, Brows done using a random brow powder and defined with and NYX’s Concealer in a Pot in ‘C07’, Lips done with Ruby Kisses Matte Lipstick in ‘Capri Orange’
Sleek has a whole line up of other i-Divine Palettes that I am eager to purchase, use and review. I hope you enjoyed my review and this look! Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts!
